I am sorry to say that I have forgotten the name of the gentleman who was the foreman on our job, but he was fabulous. He really helped me think through two major gate design issues, and as a result I think the fence looks fabulous.  I followed his recommendations and am very pleased that I did.

They had basically finished the job at about 5:30 pm (right when the thunder storm started). I had been gone for a couple of hours, and when I cam home I noticed that they had put the "ugly" side of the fence facing our neighbor's backyard and part of her front yard (we are on a corner lot).  When I expressed concern that we were not being neighborly, they showed me that they were following the diagram that Dave had drawn.  On the one hand I was glad that we got to look at the "pretty" side of the fence all along the back of our property, but I was concerned that we were sending the wrong impression to our neighbor.  The foreman, quickly and accurately, suggested that we double side the fence for the three sections that were on her front lawn.  I thought this was a great idea. So the three men who built the fence sat there while the thunder storm passed and then did the additional work.  They went well above and beyond what was asked of them, and I am very grateful.  The fence looks great, our neighbor is happy, and they did the whole job in one day!
